Come Join the Pack

Cub Scouts join the pack and are assigned to a den, usually a group of six to twelve boys. Tiger Cubs (first-graders), Wolf Cub Scouts (second-graders), Bear Cub Scouts (third-graders), and Webelos Scouts (fourth- and fifth-graders). Once a month, all of the dens and family members gather for a pack meeting under the direction of a Cubmaster and pack committee.
Volunteer Leadership
Volunteer leaders, both men and women, are involved in the Cub Scout program. They serve in a variety of positions, as everything from unit leaders to pack committee chairpersons, committee members and den leaders. The success of the pack program depends on parent involvement.
“The most important thing in Cub Scouting is to have fun and keep the boys interested.”
Cost and Who Pays for It
There is a small registration fee (~$10) and the cost of a scout handbook (~$5-$7) incurred once a year. . The boys are encouraged to purchase a uniform (~$15-$50) and wear it to meetings and special functions. Some dens collect dues. There is also an optional subscription to Boys Life ($12) that is offered to the scouts. The boys, parents, pack, council and community help pay for activities. There is a fund raiser held each Fall, last year it was popcorn and candle sales. The pack then uses the proceeds to help fund den activities and pay for pack functions.
Cub Scout Colors
